Wedding Inspired Wednesday {No. 19}: Country First Dance Songs Continued

Texas Country First Dance: Randy Rogers Band - One Woman

Lonestar - Amazed

Tim McGraw - My Best Friend

I am rather fond of Tim McGraw, he was the first country artist album I ever owned. I remember my dad bought me the CD and I listened to it over and over and over again. Still do.

Kenny Chesney - Me and You

 Garth Brooks - Every Woman

Now this isn't Garth singing it, but my goodness he sings it just as beautifully!!! I slightly fall in love with him singing.

Lee Brice - Woman Like You

What I love about Henry, we dont have one song, we have many. This being one he loves especially. He gets a kick out of the yoga part. :-P

Dustin Lynch - Cowboys and Angels

If my sister could pick our song, this would be it.
Her boyfriend and her insist this is our song, and she says she is going to tell the DJ the day of the wedding we changed our minds to this song and see if she can get him to play this instead. lol

Keith Urban - Only You Can Love Me This Way

His voice makes me melt.

 Brad Paisley - She's Everything

This song is up there with Lee Brice - Woman Like You
It's sweet!

Wedding Inspired Wednesday {No. 17}: Country First Dance Songs

I made a previous post listing mostly Texas Country First Dance Songs, but since then, I have listened to a lot of country songs and utilized my trusty iPhone Notes to keep track of them as I hear them. Below are ones I have fallen in love with:

The most recent song release that I absolutely adore is by Easton Corbin - Loving You is Fun

The first time this song played with Henry and I in the car I was kind of in a daze, just thinking - I think A LOT - Next thing I knew, Henry was squeezing my hand saying, "Loving you IS fun." I looked over at him shooting me a quick smile before directing his eyes back on the road. The first thing I said was, "Huh?" - Then the chorus came back on "Ohhhhh! Awe!! Loving you is fun too! I love you!" Now every time this song comes on we think of each other. It is like our personal theme song. :-) This is actually one of the only songs that has made Henry reconsider his traditional George Strait option for our first dance.

A Texas Country First Dance option:

Stoney Larue - Feet Don't Touch the Ground

Miranda Lambert's song "Making Plans" - this song is by far a new favorite. Her words are perfect - short, sweet and simple. She is so talented. "'Cause I'm not easy to understand, but you know me like the back of your hand, I'm your girl and you're my man, And we're makin' plans"

What every girl wants to hear: Keith Urban - Your Everything

I would've probably never thought twice about this song, until my sister texted me while Henry and I were at a country dancing bar saying, "Brice and I agree that 'Cowboys and Angels' should be yalls first dance!" I fall more and more in love with this song as I listen to it.
Dustin Lynch - Cowboys and Angels

You of course can't forget one of the classics. This is Henrys final choice. George Strait is definitely one of the most famous Country Singing Icons and this song is from one of Henry's favorite movies "Pure Country" - Which he made me watch and I rather enjoyed.
I remember growing up, like 3rd/4th/5th grade and listening to this song and thinking, "One day I want this to be my first dance". I just may get that wish. <3
George Strait - I Cross My Heart

Wedding Inspired Wednesday - {No. 7}: Texas Country/Country 1st Dance Song Suggestions

Henry and I have been browsing tons of wedding song potentials for our 1st dance. Well, we can't seem to agree despite the fact we have found TONS of great ones. haha SO, for those looking for Country or Texas Country first dance songs, here are some we have found:

Wade Bowen - Who I am
This is a great song to dance to. I love the words, his voice - everything. This would be my  number one pick - but Henry for some reason said no Wade Bowen. Boo.

Josh Abbott Band - She's Like Texas
Henry is such a sweetheeart. He consistently picks out songs that are pretty much the guy singing about his love to the girl. Well I want one that is one we could dedicate to each other. This song is amazing, but yet another one we don't agree on. ha!

Josh Turner - Soulmate
Now this song is not "Texas" country - but Henry and I love Josh Turner. This song would be perfect, but we are looking for an up-beat song we can two-step to or double 2 step to. Beautiful song!

Josh Turner - Would You Go With Me
This is one of Henry's top 3 songs for our first dance. We love the pace, his voice, the words - besides, your wedding is the first step in a new journey, so "Would you go with me?"

Midnight River Choir - Soul Food
I LOVE THIS BAND! I love his voice, their style of music, everything. Every time I hear this song I think of Henry and can't help dancing or at least bobbing my head - whether I am sitting in my car or walking around listening to my iTunes - this song makes me move :-) Unfortunately, it is so new I can't find full clips of the video - here is a good clip though to give you an idea.

Blake Shelton - HoneyBee
This is another one of our top 3 picks. It's cheesy, country, lovey-dovey, fast, & pretty much perfect! Yes he isn't Texas Country, but boy can he sing! :-)

Blake Shelton - God Gave Me You
Now this has to be one of the sweetest songs ever. This is one of MY top 3.

Josh Grider Band - Crazy Like You
Another band & song I love. The lyrics are so true about love! Sorry I couldn't find a better video.

Easton Corbin - Roll With It
I know this song doesn't talk about endless devotion and all the mushy-gushy stuff people think of when they think first dance - to me this song is taking life as it comes - good or bad - you just go with it, side by side. It's simple & sweet - not to mention a good song to country dance to!

My weekly playlist {No. 1}

Everyone knows there are songs out there that cause certain emotions to flow, whether it makes you want to jump up and down, cry, scream, bust out laughing, etc.

Here are a few of the songs getting me through the week - courtesy of YouTube - hope you enjoy!

Pistol Annies - Hell on Heels
Now I am no gold-digging man-eater - but I can not help bust out singing this song, swaying and dancing along the way every time I hear it. :-)

Zac Brown Band ft Jimmy Buffet - Knee Deep
If I am having a stressful day or drinking a margarita this song always puts a smile on my face. Plus I could desperately use a trip to a nice beach - so I close my eyes, listen to this song, and pretend lol

Jake Owen - Barefoot Blue Jean Night
This song makes me think of two things:
A: Growing up in the city - near Galveston - having late night outings on the beach, running through the sand, laying up looking at stars and listening to the ocean.
B: Being here in Cleburne - Our friend Casey has a ranch and it also makes me think of those late nights out on the ranch, trucks all backed up to each other, bonfires, music blaring - four-wheeling - playing in the lake - and so many other things. I am excited for cooler weather to arrive so we can have more bonfire parties out there :-) Right Casey Lou?!

Miranda Lambert - Only Prettier
Now we all have those girls we see and deep down can not stand. If you say "No I don't hate anyone" or "I am nice to everyone" - Well I call BS on you because I am nice to everyone I don't like - to a point - but when they walk away I will most likely inform my girlfriends "I can not stand that girl!" Now I will not talk excessive crap because I don't feel that is very nice, but I will state my dislike for the person. :-) If you still insist that isn't you, then fine, I am a bitch I guess. At least I am honest. So - this song makes me happy - makes me think of my girls - makes me think of all the girls I don't like - Only scratch the part of the other girls getting skinnier, because my girls are all pretty fabulously skinny :-)

Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline
Remember me saying songs that make you want to jump up and down? This is mine! If you are in my group of friends - or know my group of friends - you know when this song comes on we are all jumping up and down, singing up at the top of our lungs!! If I am in a bad mood or need a pick me up or getting pumped up - this is the song I blast! ;-) BUH-BUH-BUUUH!!! SO GOOD! SO GOOD!

Enjoy the videos!! Until next week loves! :-) XOXO
